DIY Deodorant

Updated: Mar 15, 2019

Since working with plastics deodorant have been the one thing i am still working on. I have tried various zero waste deodorants from the shops which i found just didn't work for me. I have started making my own using this recipe with the hopes this works out better.

1 tbsp of baking soda

4 tbsp of arrowroot flour

2 tbsp of raw coconut oil

Essential oil (some recommend lavender, however I find lavender makes me sleepy so I choose citrus, just use one suited to you).

Container for your deodorant

Combine the baking soda and arrowroot flour and mix well.

Add the coconut (melt first to help with mixing, to melt just add jar to warm water)

Stir all the ingredients to form a paste

Add 6-10 drops of essential oils of choice.

Pour into the container.
